The Eureka Housing Program is designed to assist Men and Women with criminal backgrounds to locate and retain permanent housing. The program offers assistance in locating and retaining permanent housing. Participants must have income sufficient to afford to pay market rent for the permanent housing unit he or she selects. Other services include payments towards utility bills, rent, rent deposits, financial assistance with moving expenses, food, and purchase of household items. Services provided to Winston-Salem/Forsyth County residents only.
Eureka Ministry, Inc. offers a program called M.E.R.G.E. (Making Education the Road to Gainful Employment). It is designed to give participants with court records another chance to succeed in life. The program provides a tutor and mentor to assist the participant in getting a trade diploma from FTCC and Goodwill. The total number of participants enrolled in the program will be limited based on funds availability. Tuition and books are covered by MERGE. After graduation MERGE will assist its graduates with obtaining employment.
Men’s Bridge, offered by Eureka Ministry, Inc., is a supportive program to help incarcerated and recently released men prepare for successful transition back into the community. The program includes a support group as well as individual mentoring. The mission of Men’s Bridge (MB) is to take a proactive approach in reducing recidivism by linking inmates and ex-offenders with the community they will call home.
