The Food Bank of the Albemarle

The Food Bank of the Albemarle is a community event that is held at Murfreesboro Baptist Church on the second Tuesday of every month. Any resident of Hertford County can come to the Food Bank and receive food. A truck arrives and volunteers from the local churches begin to prepare the food for distribution. Residents may begin to line up on Broad Street at a certain time. The food distributed each month includes vegetables, fruit, meat, drinks, sweets, and breads. See website for more information.
