SMART Recovery SMART Recovery supports people in the United States, Canada, and all over the world to manage addictive and problematic behaviors through mutual support meetings, offered online and in-person. SMART stands for Self-Management and Recovery Training. SMART believes that the power to change addictive behaviors resides within each individual and does not depend upon adherence to any spiritual viewpoint. While the SMART approach differs in some ways from AA and NA, it does not exclude them. Some SMART participants also choose to attend AA or NA meetings. Use the online tool to find meetings for you.
