Brightpaths

Brightpaths (formerly known as Prevent Child Abuse Athens) is a non-profit, community-based organization whose mission is to prevent all forms of child abuse and neglect in Athens and the surrounding area. We serve families in Clarke, Barrow, Jackson, Madison, Oconee, Oglethorpe, and Walton counties. We offer a variety of services in Athens, GA focused on child abuse prevention and family support. These include First Steps, providing support to new parents, Healthy Families, offering in-home visits to families with newborns, Parenting Support programs, and Community Education on child abuse prevention. They also provide free counseling services through a partnership with Bethel Haven Counseling. We’re thrilled to offer our resource closet at no cost to families.
