Catawba County Register of Deeds serves as custodian and manager of a large number of Public Records that exist primarily to enable the owner of an interest in property to give public notice of that ownership. These include the indexing and recording of legal documents such as Deeds, Deeds of Trust, Satisfactions of Deeds of Trust, Powers of Attorney, Maps/Plats, Easements, Rights-Of-Way, Assumed Names, Separation Agreements, Fixture Filings, etc.
