Navajo Housing Authority
The Navajo Housing Authority (NHA) is a tribally designated housing entity authorized by the Navajo Nation to administer the Indian Housing Block Grant under NAHASDA. NHA is the largest Indian housing authority, and is nearly the eighth largest public housing authority in the United States. Programs offered include Public Rental, Subsidized Mutual Home Ownership, Expanded Homeownership, and Tenant Rental Assistance. There are fifteen separate field offices and one residential Management Corporation managed by NHA to deliver service to tribal members residing within 110 Chapters (local regional government units) and their surrounding communities.
