Pitt Reentry Council

The Pitt County Local Reentry Council (LRC) is comprised of various community stakeholder who have a vested interest in seeing formerly Justice Involved individuals successfully transition back to the community. These returning citizens have done their time and are now attempting to become productive contributors to the community. Part of what the LRC does is to implement solutions and activities that help returning individuals to address reentry barriers. Many who return find that they have problems specifically with competing for jobs, securing stable housing, supporting their children and their families, substance use and abuse, and a lack of education and training. Collectively, the LRC has taken a comprehensive approach at systematically tackling the barriers to reentry and other transition problems.
