Shenandoah County Department of Social Services (DSS)

The Department of Social Services provides a variety of public assistance and social service programs to residents of Shenandoah County. The public assistance programs allow needy families and individuals to live their lives with dignity and self-respect by providing resources to meet basic needs of food, clothing, shelter and medical assistance when such persons are not supported by their own means, by their relatives and friends, or by other public or private institutions.
