The Samaritan Shelter in Maryland provides a range of services including temporary housing, food assistance, and supportive services to help individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency. Specifically, they offer a shelter, a food bank, and a soup kitchen. Additionally, they provide crisis intervention and financial assistance, including help with housing, utilities, medical care, transportation, and employment. In order to receive food individuals must bring proof of residency such as a driver’s license, lease, utility bill or valid ID. You can only attend the food bank once per month.
