The Shalom Project
The Shalom Project is a local non-profit running several programs to assist our neighbors in need. Services include: medical clinic & pharmacy, food pantry, clothing closet, and free meals. For more information regarding The Shalom Project’s other services, call or visit their website.
Clothing Closet: A team of compassionate volunteers will help you find what you and your family need in their store of donated clothing, shoes & accessories for men, women, and children. Diapers are available through a partnership with the NC Diaper Bank. Clients are eligible for clothing once every 28 days.
Food Pantry: Each week the Food Pantry provides emergency groceries to those in the community who find themselves in need, all at no cost. Clients are eligible for food pantry items once every 28 days.
The Medical Clinic: provides primary care needs. There are no fees for service. The clinic is walk-in only; no appointments. The Clinic is open every Wednesday. Patients are asked to bring any medical records or prescriptions with them. We are not currently dispensing prescriptions, but have options available to help our patients get their medications at the best or no cost. Visit website for more information and services offered.
