Union Rescue Mission of Western Maryland

The mission of the Union Rescue Mission of Western Maryland, Inc. is to decrease homelessness by providing shelter, food, basic necessities, and rehabilitation to those living in poverty in the Tri-State Area with a commitment to the transforming hope found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Union Rescue Mission Union Rescue Mission operates an emergency homeless shelter where anyone, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, political affiliation, national origin, or disability, may come to the URM to seek shelter. Every day we provide hundreds of hot meals to our community. We also maintain a food and clothing closet. All services are provided free of charge to our residents, but also to any visitor who needs meals in our community. A free medical clinic is available to the community in efforts to reduce the number of Emergency Room visits by the homeless. We have an RN on staff that can assist with basic needs, as well as a Nurse Practitioner who visits the clinic on the third Wednesday of the month. See website for hours and days of emergency shelter and food and clothing distribution.
