United Community Ministries

United Community Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization who is a devoted to making a difference in the community. We provide the highest quality programs that benefit homeless and nearly homeless residents in the Twin County and surrounding areas. United Community Ministries – Clothing Assistance program (CAP) provides clothing and shoes to homeless and nearly homeless individuals and families. We will honor vouchers from local service providers such as the Department of Social Services, OIC, NEED Inc., and C-CAN. All of the clothing and shoes are donated and shopping is free. United Community Ministries operates a daily Soup Kitchen, a community shelter that houses single men, and a Food Pantry that distributes food boxes through local food pantry distribution sites. United Community Ministries Bassett Center operates a shelter for homeless families, and offers a program to assist in transitioning into stable affordable permanent housing.
