ABCCM Jail Ministry

The ABCCM Jail Ministry serves the Buncombe County Detention Center (BCDC) where detainees need hope and direction in order to re-enter the community responsibly. The volunteers are the heart of the Jail Ministry and they strive to provide that hope and direction through compassion, listening, and spiritual guidance. They lead small groups to encourage and motivate the inmates in meeting and rising above the challenges facing them. Volunteer-led Bible studies help the men and women discover hope and a new direction for their lives.
