Area Committee To Improve Opportunities Now (ACTION), Inc. is a private non-profit Community Action Partnership agency that serves low and moderate income and elderly residents in ten Northeast Georgia counties including Barrow. This organization provides many social services including emergency food assistance, rent and utility expense assistance, housing counseling, weatherization and emergency home repairs, employment services, and Opportunities Now program, among other services.
