Howard County Health Department (HCHD) Peer Recovery Specialists are certified health workers by the Maryland Addiction and Behavioral Health Professionals Certification Board. With training in advocacy, ethics, mentoring and education, and Harm Reduction, the HCHD Peers provide judgment and stigma-free support to anyone seeking guidance related to substance use and/ or co-occurring disorders; wherever a person may be in their own recovery process.
