Rescue Mission Ministries

The Rescue Mission of Roanoke offers a comprehensive array of services to help people who are burdened by homelessness, disabilities, addictions, and abuse. The Rescue Mission operates a Women and Children’s Shelter, as well as a Men’s Shelter. Clothing vouchers are offered to shelter guests and individuals/families in the community that are in need. If you or someone you know qualifies for social services and help is needed with clothing, please visit the Rescue Mission to sign up. On average, the Mission serves 600 meals per day. That’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all guests, with hospitality meals open to the public for lunch and dinner. The Manna Food Pantry is a weekly grocery box distribution program serving struggling families in the Roanoke region. Registration is open to all. Come to the Rescue Mission Saturday mornings to enroll. Once enrolled, you may come to the Mission one Saturday morning each month and receive one food box including approximately 60 pounds of food. The Way Forward Residential Recovery Program is for men and women seeking to break free of the bondage of drug and alcohol addiction. Through coaching, spiritual guidance, and education, the program provides participants the tools they need to move from a life of self-abuse and destruction to a life lived in recovery, punctuated by grace.
