Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry – Food Pantry

Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry (SVCM) offers a “client choice” food pantry where clients call and a volunteer or staff member takes their food order from the list of available food items. Clients can come every 21 days for food. Clients can check once a week to see if free produce is available. SVCM distributes TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) to all eligible clients. Neighbors can receive TEFAP even if they do not meet the other eligibility requirements for other programs. To participate one must provide name, household size, either receive FNS benefits or qualify by income. All information is self-declared, kept confidential, and won’t be shared. No proof of ID, income or residency are required to receive TEFAP.
