Response

Response is a Shenandoah County community organization dedicated to preventing and helping people overcome the problems of sexual and domestic violence and other forms of abuse through outreach, advocacy, education and supportive services. Begun in 1980 as a grassroots effort to fill a need in the community, Response has grown over the years until now there is a 20-bed shelter for women and children, and extensive supportive services for survivors, both in- and out-of-shelter.
